A New Beginnings North School

This is where we teach students skills they need to transform themselves, others, and our global communities.

Learning Begins With Us

Endeavour SR is a specialist school dedicated to providing hope and opportunities for young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), with a particular focus on those experiencing significant anxiety. Our students have often experienced emotionally based school avoidance and significant gaps in their education. We offer a nurturing environment tailored to their unique neurodevelopmental, mental health, and acquired conditions. We cater for the individual needs of our young people who have been diagnosed with a range of complex difficulties, which have affected their ability to reach their potential in previous settings. We strive to remove barriers to our young people’s social and academic progress by offering nurturing learning alongside a flexible, targeted curriculum. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

We benefit from a city centre location within Sunderland and close transportation links to Newcastle and Durham. This contributes to making our school a positive and happy place in which to learn, work and live and we make full use of the environment around us. Class sizes are deliberately small to ensure our pupils feel well supported by our highly skilled staff team. We have no more than eight students per class with no fewer than one teacher and one teaching assistant.

We aim at inspiring our students to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more in their respective journeys of life.
